When in Love 💜💜

To be part of the real Provance 🇫🇷🍇

Provance is magical. You see it in the movies, you read it in romantic novellas…. Little towns, wineries, endless olive fields, sunset, and not least vintage designed houses. I bet almost everyone has ever dreamed of visiting this amazing place, especially when you are in love 💜💜💜

The moment I decided to visit this area of France, I was absolutely sure about to choose for an authentic place to sleep. Doing a lot of search I found an amazing villa next to the little town of Ménerbes.  La Bastide du Tinal is a “former 18th century magnanery, surrounded by a one-hectare park filled with olive trees, truffles, almond oaks, ancient roses and breath taking views of Mont Ventoux and Gordes.”

If you visit the villa by car, be careful, it can be a bit tricky to find. Where road D218 meets D3, do not turn left as your GPS says, instead turn right and follow the sign of the pharmacy.

The villa is made for relaxation. It has 5 rooms, therefore it is not crowded. Our room was called Eugene, and was beyond amazing. When you step in to the room you feel the real Vintage: Amazing furnitures, amazing atmosphere.

Our room had no windows, what was a bit strange. Also there was a gap between the ceiling and the wall separating the bathroom.

The living room was easy to reach. The design and atmosphere was perfect. It was a wonderful place to rest, read, and enjoy the view with a coffee, or play with the lovely cat of the house.

A little cave opening from the living room gave place for the breakfast. With all the amazing French cuisine: croissants, baguettes, cheese, coffee… Lovely

Sadly, during our stay the weather was not that friendly. It was raining almost every day, and was a bit cold for May. We could not enjoy that much the outer places.

But! The villa has a large heated pool and a jacuzzi. There are a lot of separated places in the garden with comfortable armchairs and sofas, to soak up the sun, and have a drink.

Ménerbes is easy to reach by foot. The town has lovely restaurants and a scenic view. There are more little villages nearby easily reachable by car.
